His Beatitude Patriarch Hazim is calling upon archbishops and parishioners of
the Holy Antioch See in homeland and overseas to continue providing aids to
their brethrens in Lebanon
.

Responding to the aggravated human needs as a result of the Israeli attacks on
Lebanon, country and citizens, His Beatitude Ignatius IV, Patriarch of Antioch
and the all East, met this afternoon, Saturday the 5th of August 2006, at the
Patriarchate Head Office with Damascus and Damascus Countryside Parish priests
and with representatives from Antiochian parishes in Syria, to coordinate
collecting aids and contributions (money or materials). A bank account has been
opened for this purpose called "emergency accounts", in addition to the
distribution of aids coming from Solidarity Organization, attached to the
Church of Greece, as a vessel will arrive to Lattakia Sea Port on 14 August 2006
with 80 tons of aids.

In addition, it has been pointed out to the necessity of visiting places
where displaced Lebanese citizens are hosted in order to find out about their special needs, so that the Patriarchate fulfills such needs from a contribution received
from the World Christian Orthodox Society in the United States, which belongs to Orthodox churches overseas.

Finally, contributions incoming from church trays in Sunday mass will
be devoted for this purpose. In addition, His Beatitude Ignatius IV addressed in this regard a Patriarchal message to all Antiochian See parishioners in homeland and
overseas.
