With the blessing of H.B. Patriarch Ignatius IV, and among manifestations of joy and happiness from the faithful crowd, the consecration of the new church of Katana, named after its patron saint, “Saint Elias Church”,  was achieved.

Following  a welcoming speech by Mr. Samaan,  a speech on behalf of the parishers, by Mr. Zaght, and  a speech by the designer and the supervisor of  the project, Eng. Jabbour, Patriarch Ignatius expressed congratulations to the faithful and paid tribute to all those who contributed either financially or by other means in the achievement of this project. He expressed hope for increasing numbers of people praying together.
